Halibut Seafood Chowder
In a large pot cook chopped bacon with onion. Add potatoes, carrots, celery and seasonings. Cover with enough water to cook potatoes. Add halibut and clams. While heating make white sauce. When white sauce is extra thick add to pot and stir carefully. Cook until desired thickness. Serve with hot muffins or garlic bread and salad.White sauce: melt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine in sauce pan. Add 2 tablespoons of flour. Cook until bubbly with out burning. Add 1 cup milk and whisk until smooth and thick.
