Sourdough Starter 2
- 2 potatoes
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
Boil potatoes skin on with enough water to cover them. Cook until over done. Mash potates with water. Strain into glass bowl leaving skins in strainer.Let cool slightly.
Add 2 cups of flour and stir well. Add tablespoon of sugar and stir. If there are lumps don't worry they will disolve. Cover lighly and store in a warm place. Stir it daily while adding a little more flour and a pinch of sugar.
When you see bubbles at the top it is ready to use. Be sure to save about a cup of starter and replenish it with about 2 cups of flour and a tablespoon of sugar.
